National Liver Foundation of Malaysia reports that:

More than 2.5 million Malaysians are diagnosed with liver infection and its related diseases such as hepatitis A, B, C etc.

Liver is known as the "Silent Organ" because its diseases often have no symptoms. As a result, people often discover their liver problem at a later stage.

​

The liver is the largest and most important organ in the body. It is in the upper right portion of the abdominal cavity and consists of two lobes linked by a chain – like ligament. It is one of the vital parts in the human digestive system and acts as the storage of nutrients in the body.

​

It is also the organ that has the purification and detoxification functions to remove toxins. If the liver does not work properly and the toxins accumulate over the liver’s limit to process it, the anti - oxidation substances stored in the liver will be damaged, thus disrupting the body metabolism and giving rise to various diseases.

If you always feel drowsy and tired, it means that your liver is complaining. If there is abdominal distension and constipation, then your liver may have over-accumulation of toxins. If starch is not completely broken down, the liver may be having problems.

When the liver is overburdened, its functions may be disrupted, and this will eventually cause chronic diseases.

 

Signs that show that the liver is over-burdened:
